Locums First is looking for Locum General Practitioners in Barry Road.

A great fit if you want locum flexibility with predictable clinics, clear expectations and a well-supported environment. We aim to match you to services with good triage, manageable duty arrangements and admin processes that do not overwhelm your session.

Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility and potential to increase.

Role Snapshot
• Planned GP clinics with defined session structure and support staff in place.
• Option to keep returning to the same service for continuity.

Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week initially with flexibility on day selection.
• Mix of routine and on-the-day work depending on service.
• Regular weekly sessions or ad hoc cover available.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality GP consultations across a range of presentations.
• Review results and action tasks generated within your session where agreed.
• Prescribe appropriately and follow local antimicrobial and prescribing guidance.
• Make onward referrals and complete documentation in line with policy.
• Work constructively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain patient flow.

Requirements
• GMC registration with licence to practise and GP Performers List status.
• Recent experience in UK general practice including remote consultations where required.
• Competence with clinical systems and accurate documentation standards.
• Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and commitment to patient safety.
• Locum compliance documentation including DBS and right to work.
